Course overview

This evidence-based learning activity prepares obstetric and gynecologic nurses to implement trauma-informed care principles in clinical practice. Nurses will learn to recognize neurobiological trauma responses, apply SAMHSA's six core principles, and use practical communication strategies during intimate examinations and labor care to minimize re-traumatization.
