Course overview
Individuals recovering from acquired brain injury (ABI) commonly experience emotional and behavioral sequelae that interfere with engagement, learning, safety, and functional independence. This course prepares occupational therapy and speech-language pathology professionals to differentiate common presentations, select appropriate screening tools, and apply evidence-based intervention strategies. Examples illustrate clinical application, caregiver education, environmental modification, and planning for discharge and long-term recovery.
