Course overview

The knee does not work alone. It responds to what is happening above it and below it, adapting constantly to forces coming from the hip, the lower leg, and the way the body moves through space. When balance is lost anywhere along this chain, the knee often becomes the place where stress shows up. In this class, you will learn a practical, hands-on approach to restoring balance through the entire knee chain rather than focusing on the knee in isolation. By addressing the muscles that influence knee function from both directions, you will help reduce strain, improve support, and encourage more efficient movement. Through clear assessment, targeted manual techniques, and simple movement integration, you will gain tools that help the knee move with greater ease and stability. The work is logical, effective, and designed to blend seamlessly into your existing bodywork practice. This course is ideal for therapists who work with knee discomfort, repetitive strain, or movement patterns that feel stuck, and who want a clearer understanding of why the knee so often reflects imbalances elsewhere. Why this matters When the knee is supported by the whole chain, it does not have to struggle.
