Course overview

A 1-hour continuing education course designed specifically for funeral service professionals addressing OSHAs Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) and the CDCs Universal and Standard Precautions as they apply to the mortuary, preparation room, and funeral home environment. This course provides critical, occupation-specific training on the identification, prevention, and management of bloodborne pathogen exposure risks unique to post-mortem care. The course satisfies OSHA annual refresher training requirements and fulfills continuing education credit in the approved subject area of OSHA Requirements.
