Course overview

This course provides allied health professionals with foundational knowledge and practical skills to recognize, respond to, and support individuals experiencing mental health challenges or crises. Participants will learn how to identify common mental health conditions, apply Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) principles, communicate effectively, and connect patients to appropriate resources. Emphasis is placed on early intervention, stigma reduction, patient safety, and scope-appropriate response strategies for RN and LPN roles.
