This course is designed for pediatric Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists working in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The basics of sensory modulation and why it's essential for supporting fragile infants' development will be applied to care in this setting. Participants will receive practical, easy-to-apply strategies to help babies stay calm, alert, and engaged by managing their sensory input effectively. In addition, we will focus on effective collaborations with nurses, doctors, and families to create a consistent, supportive environment. Real-life examples and tips for integrating sensory strategies into daily routines, tailored to each infant's needs will be provided for each discipline.
