The American Cancer Society's estimates approx 313,780 new cases of prostate cancer for 2025. With pelvic floor dysfunction being a major side effect of prostate cancer treatments, it is important that therapists know how to help these patients preoperatively, post-operatively and throughout their lifespan. Urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction are common side effects post prostatectomy and have major adverse effects on both mental and physical health related quality of life. This workshop will arm therapists with tools they need to evaluate and treat these side effects in people after prostatectomy.
