Microsystems, Mirrors and Magic Points

Course overview

This class surveys acupuncture microsystems, mirror imaging relationships, and practical point collections that can be readily integrated into clinical practice. Participants will review the foundational theory behind microsystems and mirror imaging, along with relevant research supporting their use in conjunction with traditional body acupuncture. Systems from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean traditions will be introduced, including head, scalp, face, neck, ear, abdominal, arm, leg, and foot microsystems, with emphasis on clinical reasoning, anatomical relationships, and efficient point selection strategies.
