Healthcare professionals often work with children who experience abuse or neglect but may not know how to identify forms of abuse or respond. This course reviews common signs of different types of abuse and neglect. It also describes the role of mandatory reporters and what to expect when filing a child abuse and neglect report. Lastly, it provides an overview of clinical, ethical, and cultural considerations when reporting child abuse and neglect.
