Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer mortality in the US and worldwide. Professional guidelines provide pulmonologists direction in identifying patient risk, screening for lung cancer, and managing nodules. An overview of pulmonology claims, the stance of various medical specialty societies on the guidelines, and recommendations for managing the findings of screenings are included in this activity.
