Ethics, Professionalism, & Boundries

Course overview

In this course I will address the foundations of ethical practices including professional competency, integrity, and protecting client confidentiality. I will teach a clear understanding of therapeutic boundaries including power differential and cultural sensitivity. there will also be live discussions and Q&A regarding how to handle difficult or unethical situations. This will be including strategies to respond to inappropriate behavior using an ethical decision-making model. Lastly, I will discuss emotional well-being and recognize signs of fatigue or stress that could affect ethical client care. This class will fulfill an Ethics requirement.
