Course overview

This 30 hour Enhanced Recovery After Delivery training fulfills advanced criteria toward the Perinatal Health Specialist Certification program and prepares candidates to lead maternal rehabilitation program development across hospitals, health systems, and community-based settings. This comprehensive training equips clinicians to design, implement, and sustain perinatal rehabilitation services that deliver earlier, more effective support for individuals and families during pregnancy, immediately after birth, and throughout the first year following delivery or pelvic surgery. Participants gain the clinical, leadership, and program development skills needed to expand access to rehabilitation in both hospital-based and home-based models of care. Enhanced Recovery After Delivery develops clinical leaders who advance maternal and infant health by integrating rehabilitation earlier in the continuum of care and positioning OT and PT professionals as front-end providers in perinatal recovery.
