What you will learn. By the end of this course, the learner will be able to list four types of human trafficking and name the most common form. Name four factors that place a person at greater risk of being a victim of human trafficking. Discuss several warning signs that a person might be a victim of human trafficking. Describe some of the general indicators of human trafficking. Name the three main components of the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act TVPA commonly called the three Ps. Discuss three methods used to control victims. List five offenders involved in trafficking of organs. Describe social services available for rescue, food, clothing and shelter referrals. Describe hotlines for reporting human trafficking. Describe procedures for sharing information related to human trafficking with a victim. List referral options for legal and social services. Discuss some of the validated assessment tools for identifying a human trafficking victim. Course Overview. The goal of this course is to help healthcare professionals learn about the different types of human trafficking, factors that place a person at greater risk, warning signs social services available to victims and or survivors and more.
