Course overview
The learner will be able to Describe the legislative purpose for the Nurse Practice Act. Describe the role of the Florida Board of Nursing. Differentiate between the scope of practice for APRNs, RNs, LPNs, and CNAs in Florida. Identify specific laws and rules related to the practice of nursing and nursing assistants Discuss the legal parameters regarding the LPNs role in intravenous therapy in the state of Florida. Identify the roles and responsibilities of the nurse as it relates to delegation of tasks. List requirements for license renewal in the state of Florida for APRNs, RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Summarize the components of the Nurse Licensure Compact NLC. Course Overview This course provides information about the laws and rules that are applicable to the practice of nursing in the state of Florida. It includes information from the 2019 Florida Statutes, Title XXXII Regulation of Professions and Occupations, Chapters 456 and 464 of the Florida Statutes, and the general provisions of Division 64B9 of the Florida Administrative Code.
