Course overview

This two-hour, lecture-style course provides a practical overview of ocular anatomy with a focus on how each structure relates to contact lens wear. Participants will review key external and internal anatomical landmarks, including lids and adnexa, cornea, limbus, sclera, crystalline lens, vitreous, retina, and optic nerve. Each topic is tied back to contact lens selection, fit, comfort, vision, and safety. Through real-world examples and case-based discussion, attendees will learn how to use anatomical findings to guide clinical decisions, anticipate complications, and educate patients about healthy, long-term contact lens wear.
