Course overview
This course provides Certified Nursing Assistants CNAs with an overview of resident rights and the responsibilities of healthcare professionals in protecting and promoting those rights in healthcare and long term care settings. Participants will review residents rights related to dignity privacy confidentiality informed decision making safety freedom from abuse and neglect and participation in care planning. The course also discusses communication strategies ethical responsibilities advocacy cultural sensitivity and federal and Florida regulations that support resident centered care and quality of life.
