Human Trafficking: Recognition, Response, and Resources for Healthcare Providers

Course overview

This 2-hour course prepares nurses to identify and respond to human trafficking in clinical settings. Covers federal and Florida law (F.S. 787.06), physical and behavioral indicators, trauma-informed communication, mandatory reporting to the Florida Abuse Hotline, and how to connect patients to resources including the National Human Trafficking Hotline. Approved for 2.0 contact hours by the Florida Board of Nursing.
