Course overview
This course provides optometrists with a clinically focused, case-based approach to evaluating common and potentially vision- or life-threatening oculoplastic conditions. Emphasis is placed on differentiating benign from malignant eyelid lesions, recognizing neurogenic and orbital causes of ptosis, efficiently evaluating epiphora, and identifying early and urgent manifestations of thyroid eye disease and orbital pathology. Participants will gain practical tools to improve diagnostic accuracy and determine appropriate referral timing in everyday optometric practice.
