Veterinary professionals are often expected to be calm under pressure, highly capable, emotionally resilient and endlessly adaptable. But for many neurodivergent individuals, meeting these expectations can require a tremendous amount of invisible effort through masking. Masking can help people stay employed, avoid judgment, and feel safer in environments that were not built with their needs in mind. Over time, though, masking can come at a significant cost. This CE webinar explores why neurodivergent professionals feel forced to hide their true selves, how this obscures mental health struggles, and how we can redesign our teams to be truly supportive, safe spaces where everyone can thrive without pretending. The program is especially relevant in the context of suicide prevention and awareness.
