This course is designed for PTAs and OTAs who want to improve the quality of their treatment documentation. Participants will learn how to write clearer and more skilled treatment notes that better reflect the care provided, patient response, and the need for continued therapy services. The course focuses on practical strategies that can be used directly in daily treatment notes, including how to avoid vague language, show skilled involvement, and write notes that better support the services provided. A bonus section also introduces the responsible use of AI as a tool to improve documentation efficiency while protecting patient privacy and maintaining clinical judgment. This course is also valuable for PTs and OTs who want to refresh and strengthen their treatment documentation skills. Although PTs and OTs often focus on evaluations, assessments, and progress reports, they may also write treatment notes, review or sign treatment notes, supervise PTAs and OTAs, and help guide new graduates with daily documentation. The course provides a practical review of skilled treatment documentation concepts based on years of experience writing therapy notes and working with insurance documentation expectations. It can also help PTs and OTs promote better consistency within the therapy team by giving assistants a clearer framework for documenting skilled care. The AI portion of the course is especially helpful for PTs and OTs who want to make their documentation process faster and more efficient. This section does not teach how to perform PT or OT evaluations or assessments. Instead, it shows how AI can be used as a support tool to organize language, improve clarity, and speed up the documentation process, including treatment notes, evaluations, assessments, and progress notes.
