Course overview
Participants will be able to name the developmental issues faced by children and teens, list 17 risk factors for anxiety in children and teens, and name the DSM-5 criteria for anxiety in children and teens. Participants will be able to identify cognitive, physiological and behavioral elements in anxiety, develop or refine their skills in teaching relaxation, problem-solving, cognitive restructuring, and social skills, and be able to name the benefits and risks in use of psychiatric medication by anxious youth.
