Course overview
Effective interprofessional collaboration depends on each team member understanding their own role and the expertise of their colleagues. Without this understanding care can become fragmented with gaps and duplication that affect patient outcomes. The course focuses on the roles and responsibilities domain of the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) core competency framework. It examines the five sub-competencies within this domain exploring how teams can use complementary expertise collaborate within and outside the health system and approach professional differences with cultural humility.
