Working within the child welfare system can come with significant emotional demands. This training is designed to support professionals by increasing awareness and understanding of compassion fatigue, what it is and why it occurs often for those in child welfare roles. Participants will learn to both recognize common signs and early warning indicators of compassion fatigue and will be introduced to practical strategies to prevent and manage compassion fatigue. Time for reflection on how compassion fatigue many affect both work and personal wellbeing will help participants sustain their effectiveness while maintaining their own health and resilience.
