Diagnostic ability is essential for successfully applying any treatment approach. This class aims to provide a strong foundation or a review for providers who treat, or wish to treat, lower-extremity conditions with ESWT or any other interventions, for that matter. The instruction is designed to review pertinent evaluation and examination criteria. Specifically, anatomy review, muscle and neurological testing, orthopedic testing, special conditions, and more will be covered. Supportive and rehabilitative approaches will also be discussed, demonstrated, and practiced during the 15-hour class. There is also a research review for each lower extremity region to open the discussion of appropriate treatment approaches, both with ESWT and through other means. ESWT is not meant to replace a chiropractor's skills, but rather to enhance what they are already doing. As such, strong diagnostic skills are essential. The class should significantly improve attendees' ability to assess the lower extremities and better prepare them to diagnose neuromusculoskeletal conditions. There is ample time provided for hands-on practice to help ensure the successful integration of knowledge into the provider's practice from day one.
