THE OBESITY CRISIS AND PATIENT MANAGEMENT

Course overview

Nurses are in a unique position to help the overweight patient. This continuing education course discusses obesity, its etiology and health risks associated with the condition. Techniques for assessment, planning interventions and evaluation of the results are discussed. Also addressed is the problem of weight bias and the need for sensitivity in the care of the obese patient.
