Learning Objectives Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: Discuss current trends, challenges, and emerging issues impacting the dental profession. Review updates in clinical practices, patient care standards, infection control, technology, ethics, and regulatory requirements. Analyze real-world case scenarios and professional situations commonly encountered in dental practice. Identify risk management strategies and best practices for improving patient safety and quality of care. Explore effective communication and collaboration techniques among dental team members and healthcare professionals. Evaluate how changes in healthcare, public health concerns, and industry developments may influence dental practice operations and patient outcomes. Demonstrate critical thinking and professional problem-solving through interactive group discussion and peer participation. Recognize the importance of lifelong learning and staying current with evolving issues in dentistry. Course Description This interactive continuing education series is designed to provide dental professionals with a collaborative forum to discuss current issues, emerging trends, challenges, and advancements affecting the dental profession. Held once per month, each session will feature guided discussion on timely clinical, ethical, legal, technological, infection control, patient care, and practice management topics relevant to modern dentistry. Participants attending a live class will have the opportunity to share experiences, review real-world scenarios, exchange ideas, and explore practical solutions to everyday professional challenges. Participants that view the program via a taped segment will have the opportunity to hear participant experiences and practical solutions. Emphasis will be placed on professional growth, evidence-based discussion, interdisciplinary perspectives, and maintaining current knowledge within an evolving healthcare environment.
