Course overview

The Imago Clinical Training Track is a graduate level training for people who are already accredited therapists (e.g. clinical psychologists, LSMW or LCSW, psychotherapists, LMFT, LPC, LCDC, etc.) with the qualifications to work in a psychotherapeutic modality with clients. Psychotherapists in training who are near completion of their program are also encouraged to participate. Their Imago accreditation will be granted after they have received their professional qualification. An Educator track is offered for people who specialize in working with couples in intimate partnerships and are trained to work in therapeutic modalities (e.g. relationship coaches, pastors, meditators). Partners of therapist trainees are very welcome to attend for the benefit of their relationship. This experiential training focuses on the "Self as Therapist" and is designed to help participants to become experts in helping couples improve their relationships, to increase their expertise as couple therapists if already trained in this field, and to improve therapist's personal relationships. The Full Certification Clinical Training consists of three modules of 32-course hours each. This is followed by six months or the equivalent of supervision until the required standard of competence is reached for accreditation. The three modules are scheduled with two or three months in between to enable trainees to practice with clients or colleagues and prepare recordings of practice sessions.
