Course overview

Stroke accounts for a large amount of death and disability annually across the world. With advancing medicine, more individuals are surviving stroke than ever. As rehabilitation professionals, it is our responsibility to provide these individuals with the most evidence-based approach to examination and treatment to maximize functional recovery. The goal of this course is to provide a comprehensive approach to stroke management based on functional presentation. In addition, we will review medical, pharmacological, and anatomical characteristics in stroke management to develop a collaborative and thorough approach to treatment.
