Course overview

Neuroplastic Functional Integration (NFI) Balance System Level - 1, Part 2: Clinic Workshop from Military TBI Rehab to Balance Training is a 12-hour live/interactive physical therapy CEU workshop for licensed physical therapists and physical therapist assistants. This Part 2 clinic workshop is the live clinical application component of the Mobility-X NFI Balance System Level - 1 pathway. Participants must complete Part 1, the 12-hour online foundation component, CE Broker tracking number 20-1378988, before attending or receiving credit for Part 2. Mobility-X is a neurofunctional rehabilitation education system based on Neuroplastic Functional Integration principles developed from military TBI rehab, polytrauma rehabilitation, chronic pain rehabilitation, and return-to-duty functional movement training. This workshop translates those principles into clinical application for balance training, fall prevention, geriatric rehabilitation, functional mobility restoration, movement confidence, and PT/PTA clinical reasoning. The course is designed for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants who treat older adults, neurologic patients, fall-risk patients, and individuals with impaired balance, gait instability, reduced movement confidence, fear of falling, or functional mobility decline. Participants apply the MX F1-F5 Functional Balance Progression model and the MX Foundational 20 Sequence to support safe progression, regression, cueing, assistive-device modification, graded exposure, and clinical decision-making. Instruction is delivered through live in-person instruction, guided clinical demonstration, supervised movement-based laboratory practice, case-based discussion, movement observation, Q&A, and real-time instructor feedback. When offered, the course may include a synchronous remote webinar participation option for learners who cannot attend the Florida in-person session. Remote learners must attend live in real time, participate interactively, and meet the same attendance, interaction, assessment, attestation, and evaluation requirements as in-person learners. Remote participation is not recording-only attendance. Level - 1 is limited to F1-F5 support-level progression training and the MX Foundational 20 Sequence. No floor-level activity, plank-based activity, floor-recovery training, or advanced neurofunctional loading is taught in this Level - 1 course. Floor progressions and higher-level neurofunctional loading are reserved for future advanced Mobility-X certification. A required post-course video observation quiz supports assessment of clinical reasoning, movement observation, safety recognition, and progression/regression decisions. This assessment does not replace live attendance and does not qualify as a substitute for participation in the live/interactive workshop.
