This 3-hour self-paced written course provides mental health professionals with a trauma-informed and culturally responsive framework for working with Caribbean and immigrant clients. The course addresses immigration-related trauma, family separation, acculturation stress, language access, spiritual coping, intergenerational trauma, racism, xenophobia, anti-Black immigrant experiences, documentation considerations, interpreter use, trust-building, and culturally humble clinical practice. Participants will review trauma-informed principles, culturally responsive assessment strategies, ethical considerations, clinical documentation practices, and case examples involving immigrant clients. The course includes a practical clinician checklist, reflection questions, post-test, and evaluation form.
