Course overview

This CE session features brief introductions followed by an interactive, case-based Q&A and presentation with Dr. Neumann focused on practical, time-efficient approaches to recognizing, screening, and communicating about canine osteoarthritis (OA) across mild, moderate, and severe presentations, including when to initiate OA conversations, how to implement and gain team buy-in for screening tools/checklists, and strategies for managing OA pain in younger patients and those with co-morbidities. Discussion will compare real-world protocol decisions before and after adding Librela, including patient selection versus NSAIDs, expectations-setting, switching workflows, contraindication considerations, and adherence strategies to support monthly return visits. The program concludes with a brief Librela pharmacovigilance (PV) data presentation, followed by closing remarks, and includes guidance for addressing client safety questions related to Librela and differing experiences with its use in the UK versus the US.
