Learn moreCourse overview
This advanced sports course provides a comprehensive overview of biomechanics, pathology, and clinical management of the elbow, wrist, and hand. Emphasis is placed on the integration of the athletes' upper quarter kinematics, with a focus on how biomechanical impairments contribute to functional deficits across the kinetic chain. Participants will refine their clinical reasoning skills to enhance examination, differential diagnosis, and treatment planning for upper extremity dysfunction, including central and peripheral neural involvement. The course incorporates neural screening, diagnostic imaging, and surgical considerations relevant to common musculoskeletal disorders of the elbow, wrist, and hand. Evidence-based interventions--including manual therapy, orthotic principles, and sensorimotor retraining--are emphasized. Hands-on lab sessions and case-based discussions will allow participants to apply advanced evaluation and intervention strategies in a collaborative learning environment.
