Course overview

This course will provide learners with information that will allow them to acquire knowledge related to acute injury patterns, best treatment practices, and performance perspectives in the sports of tennis, volleyball, and baseball. Learners will be instructed in the kinetic sequence of the overhead motion in baseball pitching, tennis, and volleyball, so that they can recognize efficiency in these motions, and how the athlete creates energy for functional overhead movements. The course will also review common inhibitors related to overhead movements in the aforementioned sports, and teach learners how to identify these factors on video. Participants will also learn advanced exercise prescription as it relates to kinetic chain sequencing for the overhead athlete.
