Ageism is considered one of the last acceptable isms. In its simplest terms, ageism is the discrimination, prejudice, and stereotyping of individuals based on age. Ageism has become ubiquitous in the American diaspora and beyond. Harmful and broad reaching, ageism touches every age and stage across the life span. This recorded 1 hour CE will provide an overview of ageism and link with ethical concerns and clinical implications. This training will define and classify ageism, identify the impacts of ageism, and explore opportunities for assessment and interventions in both clinical and personal settings.
