Course overview
This course provides healthcare personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely assist individuals with self-administration of medications in home care, assisted living, and community-based settings. Participants will review medication classifications, routes of administration, documentation requirements, medication safety, legal and ethical responsibilities, recognition of adverse reactions, infection control practices, and appropriate reporting procedures.
