This introductory continuing education course provides nurses with a foundational overview of the lymphatic system, lymphatic disorders, and the educational pathways available through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS). Participants will gain an understanding of the role of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), compression therapy, and specialty certification programs in the management of lymphedema and related conditions. The course introduces the progression of learning opportunities offered by ACOLS, from introductory education through advanced certification and specialty training. Upon completion, nurses will be able to identify appropriate educational pathways that support evidence-based lymphatic care in clinical practice.
