Course overview

This 2-hour cardiopulmonary rehabilitation course provides an overview of the principles, assessment methods, and home-based intervention strategies used in cardiopulmonary physical therapy. Participants will review common conditions such as COPD, CHF, post-CABG recovery, and pulmonary fibrosis, while learning how to monitor vital signs, assess activity tolerance, and apply safe exercise and breathing techniques. Through video instruction, guided reflection, and a case-based activity, learners will strengthen clinical reasoning skills and develop patient-centered strategies to improve endurance, function, independence, and quality of life.
