Course overview

Define the current Tumor (T), Node (N), and Metastasis (M) staging of a specific oncological malignancy; Correlate and integrate the clinical oncologic diagnosis with the pathologic, radiologic, and surgical findings of the cases presented; Identify alternative courses of action and new knowledge presented to improve specific patient outcomes and quality of life; Discuss the evaluation and care of neoplasms and compare this with standard practices; Describe the treatment options for specific presented neoplasms in agreement with current guidelines and identify those that would best serve the individual patient being discussed; Apply the best practices of cancer care set by the American College of Surgeons, American Cancer Society, the American College of Clinical Oncology, the Centers for Disease Control and prevention, and other recognized standard setters in oncology.
