Infection Control II: Healthcare-Associated Infections, MDROs, and Antimicrobial Stewardship

Course overview

This course covers multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs), evidence-based HAI prevention bundles for CAUTI, CLABSI, VAP, and SSI, antimicrobial stewardship, Spaulding device reprocessing classification, and outbreak investigation principles. Upon completion, participants will apply transmission based precautions for MDROs, implement HAI prevention bundles, and apply infection control measures for emerging pathogens including Candida auris and novel coronaviruses
