Elder Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation: Recognition and Florida Reporting

Course overview

This course covers the forms of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation; physical and behavioral indicators; Florida mandatory reporting under Chapter 415 F.S.; and nursing assessment, documentation, and intervention when mistreatment is suspected. Upon completion, participants will identify risk factors for elder mistreatment, fulfill mandatory reporting obligations, and apply prevention strategies and caregiver support approaches to protect vulnerable adults.
