Health and Safety in the Healthcare Workplace

Course overview

This course covers healthcare workplace hazards including workplace violence, ergonomic risks, sharps injuries, fire and chemical safety, emergency preparedness, and Florida adverse incident reporting requirements. Upon completion, participants will apply de escalation and violence prevention strategies, safe patient handling principles, RACE/PASS fire protocols, and Florida-specific hurricane and emergency response procedures.
