COVID-19: Transmission, Protection, and Patient Care

Course overview

This course covers SARS CoV-2 virology, COVID-19 transmission routes and clinical spectrum, diagnostic testing, PPE and infection control precautions, evidence based treatment across severity levels, long COVID nursing care, and COVID-19 vaccination principles. Upon completion, participants will apply appropriate PPE selection for COVID 19 patients, address vaccine hesitancy in clinical encounters, and describe the nurse's role in Florida public health and healthcare worker protection.
