Biohazardous Waste Management in Healthcare

Course overview

This course covers the categories of regulated medical and biohazardous waste, federal and Florida regulatory requirements, segregation and color coding at the point of generation, sharps container safety, red bag waste management under Florida Chapter 64E-16, and training obligations. Upon completion, participants will apply correct waste segregation, labeling, packaging, and disposal practices in compliance with OSHA and Florida biomedical waste regulations.
