The Resilience Framework course provides practical tools to recognize and address workplace stress, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout. Participants will explore key definitions, signs and symptoms, risk factors, and the prevalence of these challenges across helping professions. Using a holistic approach, the training examines the cognitive, emotional, spiritual, relational, behavioral, and physical components of self. Participants will utilize the Compassion Satisfaction ProQOL (Professional Quality of Life Scale) for reflection and learn actionable strategies focused on protective factors, self-care, resilience-building, and the Circle of Control. The course also highlights leadership strategies to foster healthy workplace culture and support staff well-being. Participants will leave with greater awareness and practical tools to strengthen both personal resilience and organizational health.

Resilience Framework is created for mental health professionals who understand firsthand the emotional weight of clinical work. This course is designed to help LMHCs, LMFTs, and LCSWs better recognize and respond to workplace stress, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout. Participants will explore how ongoing exposure to clients’ trauma and high-demand environments can impact both personal well-being and professional effectiveness, while gaining practical, realistic tools to strengthen resilience and increase compassion satisfaction. The Professional Quality of Life Scale (ProQOL) is incorporated as a guided self-reflection tool to support deeper awareness.
The content is unbiased, evidence-informed, and free from commercial influence. It was developed by the clinical training team at Lifetime Counseling Center—comprised of licensed mental health professionals with extensive experience in trauma-informed care, supervision, and clinician wellness—who understand the unique pressures of the field.
Participants will engage in interactive discussion, personal reflection, and practical application strategies to support meaningful learning. This course meets the continuing education requirements set by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling. Participant information remains confidential, outside of required reporting, and the course is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
