Human Trafficking and Florida Reporting Mandates
Tracking # 20-1385069
Course overview
Human trafficking is considered a form of modern slavery, and it is global in its reach and impact. Trafficking in persons affects all genders, ages, and ethnicities. Human trafficking can be found in various illegal and otherwise legal businesses, industries, and services, including many economic sectors in the United States. Pharmacy personnel are among the most accessible healthcare professionals and may have more contact with trafficking victims than other healthcare providers in Florida and the United States. There is often little guidance available for pharmacy personnel who suspect human trafficking. This program provides education and guidance for Florida pharmacy staff who suspect a patient is a victim of human trafficking.
