Course overview

Losing someone to suicide can result in grief reactions that are immeasurably complex, intense, and sometimes traumatic. Postvention offers unique support and intervention to the survivors of suicide loss. This course explains how suicide loss is different from other types of losses and the impact that suicide loss has on survivors. It also explores ways to mitigate the negative effects of suicide exposure and discusses postvention strategies to use with people affected by or bereaved by suicide.
