The National Aphasia Association (NAA) defines aphasia as, ?an acquired communication disorder that impairs a person's ability to process language, but does not affect intelligence. Aphasia can impact all aspects of quality of life for clients and their family caregivers. This course will present recent research related to the causes, types, symptoms and impact aphasia. Learners will also learn about best practice approaches to treat and manage aphasia.
