This longitudinal certificate program introduces fundamental theories and best practices for application in various educational situations and settings. During each live presentation, there will be facilitator-led discussions and assessment questions to verify understanding of the materials presented. Upon completion of this program, the participants will be able to: 1) Identify platforms and the role of social media in pharmacy education, including their impact on student engagement, knowledge retention, and professional networking; 2) Evaluate best practices for using social media as a teaching tool for both students, preceptors, and patients while maintaining professionalism, privacy, and regulatory compliance; 3) Develop strategies to integrate social media into pharmacy precepting to enhance learning. One (1) hour of CE credit has been applied for through the Florida Board of Pharmacy. The program and presentations will be given at the University of South Florida College of Pharmacy.
