Clinical Forward Head Posture Correction: SCM, Pectoralis & Upper Cervical Release is a live, hands-on 6-hour continuing education course designed for licensed massage therapists. This course teaches therapists how to observe and address common soft tissue patterns associated with Forward Head Posture, rounded shoulders, chronic cervical tension, upper trapezius guarding, pectoral restriction, SCM involvement, and upper cervical compensation. Students will review functional anatomy of the sternocleidomastoid, pectoralis major and minor, upper trapezius, and upper cervical region. The course includes standing postural assessment, safe therapeutic massage techniques, contraindications, vascular awareness, professional draping, client communication, corrective stretching, homecare education, and treatment planning within massage therapy scope of practice. Hands-on instruction emphasizes conservative pressure, safe anterior neck and pectoral work, proper body mechanics, reassessment, and referral awareness. The purpose of this course is to help massage therapists improve clinical reasoning, increase confidence working with postural patterns, and apply safe, practical techniques in a therapeutic massage setting.
