Course overview

*Identify ophthalmoscope techniques and scope-of-practice considerations for chiropractors performing a basic eye examination to detect ocular and systemic disease. *Evaluate the optic disc, cup-to-disc ratio, macula, and retinal vessels to recognize signs of glaucoma, papilledema, and arteriosclerosis. *Recognize retinal findings such as flame hemorrhages and cotton wool spots, and measure visual acuity using Snellen and Rosenbaum charts. *Analyze visual field deficits to localize lesions along the visual pathway and assess cranial nerves 3, 4, and 6 using the H pattern test.
